Lashes on Lashes

Well, hello there beautiful! ♥

Raise your hand if you love lush lashes! I will be the first one to admit that I instantly feel put together and ready to tackle the day once I have my mascara on. {Well, a large cup of coffee helps too!} Long, thick lashes is something that I always strive to achieve when doing my makeup, especially for special occasions {or for the perfect Instagram selfie, right ladies?}. Personally, I have never been a fan of fake lashes. I have always felt that they weighed my eyes down and made me feel tired. {It also gave me flashbacks to being in dance recitals as a kid and being overwhelmed with the uncomfortable lashes during performances.}

Instead, I have been on the search for the perfect mascara, and we all know there are TONS of choices! I started to see people online posting the effects of Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ mascara and was impressed by results, but not by the price, $29 each set. As a college student, logistically I could not invest in that product, yet, and was on the hunt for the perfect dupe for it.

Finally, after trying quite a few products, I found a mascara that offered relatively the same results, but for over half the price, Physicians Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit, each set only $12.98. Another kit from Physicians Formula is the Eye Booster Instant Doll Lash Extension Kit, for $14.99 each, but I personally prefer the regular lash extension kit because of the shape of this brush compared to the doll lash extension kit.

The only problem that I have noticed with these eyelash extension kits is that the fibers may flake off if there is not enough mascara covering the fibers. It is important to do at least one thick and even coat  of mascara after applying the fibers. Personally, when I want to make sure that my makeup lasts all day, I will use a cheap waterproof mascara, like Wet n Wild Max Volume Plus Waterproof Hydrofuge Mascara, and then finish off with makeup setter, Maybelline FaceStudio Master Fix Wear Boosting Setting Spray.

~PRO TIP~ If you would like the longest looking lashes possible, I recommend you using an eyelash primer. An awesome primer that I have been using is L’OREAL Voluminous Lash Primer.

I would love to hear your ladies feedback on mascaras that work for you! Comment your selections below ladies.
